So, you decided that looking at reviews is getting boring, and gaming just isn't your thing. You also want the greatest, and somewhat latest news on what's going on in the world of anime, right? Well, you probably won't find the best news in this joint, and it's not updated all THAT often, but this place looks interesting enough to check out. Cool. That's good news for our two anchormen, Lulu and Yugi, because they've been absolutely BORED with life and are more than willing to fill you in on what's been happening around here. Do note, I'm updating on a scale surrounding the good, ol' Albany area, so do forgive anything that isn't currently posted.

Yugi: Good morning, America! I bet you're all just waiting to dive into some fun, right?
Lulu: The only fun these people have is making fun of us for even agreeing to do this. What news could we possibly have that we haven't posted in the past two years?
Yugi: Awww, don't get cranky yet, Lu. We haven't even begun! I'm SURE there's news around here for us to get to!
Lulu: Well, then shut up and let's get started. This week, some investigation showed us that Cartoon Network probably won't be airing anime for much longer if they keep putting the shows on at times when normal people sleep (at least in Albany). Instead of anime being aired at 11 PM - 2AM, they have us jumping all over the place just to watch what we want the most. From 1 - 1.30 AM, Bleach is now showing, and while we're not quite sure of what Morbito is (it's on immediately after), Code Geass and Shin Chan are on between 2 AM and 2.30. We're also not sure of Fooly Cooly, but Death Note is now airing at 3.30 AM. Unfortunately, because we have to rely on memory now (Sam didn't stay up past 4), we can't exactly remember what comes on at 4, but we're pretty sure it's either Cowboy Bebop or Big 0. It's either one or the other. Inuyasha follows it up at 5 AM, and if you're truly crazy enough to watch anime all night, feel free to tell us if we're actually wrong.
Yugi: But keep in mind that the schedule's likely to change. Last time when I made a live report, we had a witness from a Narutard raid speak with us about the onslaught that happened to the Borders store. It's now been two months since then, and police organizations from all over the world have done their best to keep the raid down. Here to comment is one such policeman.
Light Yagami: Thanks for having me, Yugi. Last week, my task force personally cleaned up the remaining mess at Borders and put out a special bulletin to be on the lookout for Naruto cosplayers.
Yugi: And do you think that it'll help keep the raids down?
Light Yagami: Well... see, that's the part we won't comment on. We've dealt with this before, but with so many inter-show squadrons on the lookout for these Narutards, I'm pretty confident that we'll catch them. I mean, seriously, we must have over six hundred men out there trying to catch these people. One of these days, that show's going to just die, right?
Yugi: Maybe, but let's assume that the show just keeps pumping out those fillers. Do you have a backup in case the crowd grows and overwhelms not only NPA, but SPK, IRPO, and AVALANCHE as well?
Light Yagami: Well, we always have a mafia or two to help back us up, but if force doesn't work... and I really probably shouldn't say this on a national report, but I could always write their names down in my notebook.
Yugi: Sounds like a decent alternative. Now, Light, how does it work to be both Kira, and the man responsible for catching Kira, when you're trying to stop a horde this massive?
Light Yagami: Well, I've got to say, it's hard. Do you have any idea how many lies I have to invent every week? And some of them are getting really smart about it, too! Near called me thirteen times in one day just to make sure I wasn't Kira! THIRTEEN TIMES! I have no idea who the hell pays his phone bills, but they have to be rich to keep up with that kid! Richer than Kaiba, even! And he's pretty damn rich, too.
Yugi: I know. Now, before you go, Light, can you tell us what you'll do if someone wises up and tries to arrest you? I mean, you're pretty much a national icon with three thousand hazard tags on you. You've got a plan, right?
Light Yagami: Er... um... I... will have to call you back on that!
Yugi: Light Yagami, signing off, everyone!
Lulu: That was just sad. Anyway, last week, it was reported that an outbreak of Tauros escaped from Professor Oak's lab after Ash caught another one in Sinnoh's Safari Zone. That brings his total amount up to thirty one Tauros, the highest amount of any same-species pokemon that any trainer has ever caught. When questioned for commentary, Professor Oak repsonded with an 'OH SHI...' right before he was trampled from one of the raging Tauros.
Yugi: The stock market recently crashed, which, while affecting American economy badly, has also affected economy worldwide throughout anime. Industrial Illusions had to close down 75% of their stores today, and the ever-popular Burger World was shut down for good. PokeMarts all over have had to go through and pull many products off their shelves, for fear that they would incur too much tax on their customers, and many weaponries are being inspected for illegal dealings. The only company who isn't entirely terrified of this massive shift is Kaiba Corp.
Lulu: Last month, it appears that once again, many channels are cramming their time slots, trying to fit in more shows for better ratings. Here to comment on this is one disgruntled saiyan.
Gokou: I tell you, Lulu, it is really hard! A lot of really good shows are being cut for being 'too old and too boring,' and we're losing a lot of money here! Why, last year, my son had to go to public school! Do you have any idea how hard it is to do that when you have hair as spiky as a porcupine!? I mean, sure, they're moving some shows down to being on late at night, but that's nearly as bad! At this point, I'm pretty sure even Kaiba Corp will go bankrupt no matter who's in charge! I don't even think L could've solved this problem, and if he can, he sure as hell is taking a long time! L, please, I'm begging you here! If you can help us, don't make my son go through another year of public school!
Yugi: Hey, I went to public school. It wasn't too bad... anyway, this Thursday, Princess Tutu decided to hold a ball celebrating the coming winter. Not to be outdone, Kaiba crashed it.
Lulu: Haha... Kaiba crashing a party... anyway, after an outbreak of angry tourists threatened to overrun his building, Kaiba had to pull back some new cards from his company today, including new ones such as Insect Princess and Blizzard Lizard. He says that making holograms of the monsters are on hold as well.
Yugi: ...then what the hell did I just buy!? *points to Blizzard Lizard from Final Fantasy VI*

Lulu: Thanks to the footage of one anonymous bystanding, we've caught on tape, that Anzu Mizaki of Yu-Gi-Oh may very well secretly work as a ninja. When she faced off against Yami Malik for the first time, while Marik was possessing her, she did some rather spectacular ninja stunts that no one in her school has ever been able to perform. She also performed said moves while facing off against Johnny Steps in the latest DDR tournament. While it HAS come to our attention that Marik may very well be the ninja in question, we are unable to confirm this. If anyone can confirm that Anzu is NOT a ninja, leave a note in our inbox.
Yugi: With the open acts of Gay Rights becoming more and more prevalant in the USA, slash and femslash are becoming more and more popular as well. In a recent poll, nearly 75% of slash is pointed directly at YGO, while 95% of femslash is pointed to 'girl' anime like Sailor Moon, Tokyo MewMew, and various others. The other 30% of accumulated slash goes to video games. Of course, one thing we forgot to take into account, is that only one person voted on all these polls.
Lulu: With the ending of Yu-Gi-Oh now reaching near 2 years, many people are starting to wonder just what Yami truly was: a kind, wise pharaoh, or a bitter old spook. If you've ever watched Season 0, which is only aired in Japan, and can be found easily on Youtube, you might be wondering the same thing yourself. After all, is THIS the face of a kind ruler?

Yugi: With the vast number of anime characters running around nowadays, people are starting to feel that many characters are beginning to look exactly the same. The most prevalant examples would be the shows Ronin Warriors, Death Note, Genex, and Princess Tutu. As you can see in this chart, you will see why people are becoming concerned...

Yugi: My thought is? "Hey, it's not OUR fault Yu-Gi-Oh was so damn awesome."
Lulu: Heh... That actually made me laugh. Anyway, this week in Fashion Monthly, it stated that, oddly enough, Yu-Gi-Oh won first place for bringing out the best fashions, while Pokemon, unfortunately, reached last. I guess children just don't like wearing Pikachu costumes these days... Anyway, the reason that Yu-Gi-Oh won wasn't because their style is actually better than everyone else's. They believe in the much outdated 'respect thy elder' system. But, if you saw the winners, you would know why.
Yugi: Who were the winners?
Lulu: Well, for first place was High Priest Seth, bringing the top prize for his widely-known blue dunce cap. Second place went to Mahaado for his male-bride wedding gown ensemble, complete with the wedding veil. Third place went to Karim, because, let's face it, togas are still really cool.
Yugi: Oh? Who was the runner-up?
Lulu: Jou. In his dog costume. He was barking up the wrong tree with that entry, but at least it's better than THIS unfortunate mess.

Yugi: Bahah! If Yami saw that, he'd die a second time. Anyway, for our final rumor, it appears that Kaiba Corp has recently suffered a massive theft of dueldisk systems, shortly after the hero from Final Fantasy X, Tidus, moved in. Now, this may be a coincidence, but if anyone has seen some of Tidus's shields, you may notice that there are similarities between his 'shields' and Kaiba's disks. Guards have said they've seen a blonde boy snooping around, so if anyone sees Tidus wandering around 100 feet of the Kaiba Corp building, they ask that you call them immediately. They also say to call Kaiba personally if you happen upon the second suspect, Jounouchi Katsuya.
Lulu: That's it for CDB news! Up next, Azuko and his gang with the weather.

Azuko: Hello, I'm Azuko Kanta, and joining me are my girlfriend and her sister, Kyura and Tsatsuki Kyoto. Tonight, we'll be looking at the forecast all around the anime universe, so hang onto your hats and don't trip.
Monday - Hoenn will be experiencing some heavy sandstorms from the desert, which will cause many of the desert pokemon such as Sandshrew and Cacnea to come close to habitated areas such as Mauville and Lavaridge. If you manage to go out there today, you may see some of these little critters in your back yard. The sand will typically cause a cool front to move in, as the dust will be blocking out a fair amount of sunlight. High is around 42* for Hoenn, and it'll be very dry until around midnight when the wind will calm down.
Tuesday - A brief flurry will hit around Domino City today, picking up from a draft created by Articuno as it makes a circuit throughout the region. Be sure to bundle up. As it gets deeper into December and closer to winter, the temperatures will start getting quite chilly. The slight flurries we'll be getting will turn into pockets of snow by evening. High will be around 34*, and chance of snow is 45%.
Wednesday - Flurries from Domino City will turn into a freezing blizzards by the time it makes its way eastward to Leaf Village and the tiny ninja settlements along the eastern coast. Roads will be difficult to travel around, so we advise extreme caution if you're heading to any of the Narutonian borders today. It might be safer to call a flying duel monster, but the prices for their cards will be going up for the snowy season. High in the area is a staggeringly low 20*, made possible by the amount of dense forests in the area which block out the sun. The chance of snow is 80%.
Thursday - Taking a look off the snowy weather in the northeaster regions, we head to Hyrule today where the sunny forests will get a nice, sunny day today. Traffic will be a bit heavy during the rush hour, as many warnings state that those wishing to take a leave of the snowy blizzards to the east should evacuate here. You may encounter an occasionally chilly breeze, but temperatures will be in a steady range of around 55* for the Hyrulian area.
Friday - The cold weather just slightly west of Japan will bring a lot of cold wind today, as many people living in the area are attempting to head out and get to work. In the most western cities, you may find the ground covered in snow, and that's going to be dangerous if you plan to commute there. NPA and SPK has placed police and agents throughout the land to help people stay safe on the road as the snow moves inward. By midnight, it will be snowing, and that will cause a good four inches of snow to cover the ground the following morning. High is 32*, with a 70% chance of snow.
Saturday - Forget-Me-Not Valley, which is situated close to Mineral Town, is also preparing for what looks like a brutal winter if you're heading to where Harvest Moon abounds. You may notice that the recent snow flurries are beginning to kill crops that supply a fair deal of the food around the world. Not to worry, this won't cause a famine, but this is just a precursor to the storm that's going to come later in the evening. Roads will be slippery, so if you're driving, be very careful. Many of the roads are dirt. Flights to this area will be delayed, so call your local airport to check for delay updates. High will be around 29*, with snow coming in after midnight.
Sunday - Snow, snow everywhere. By this time, snow will typically be covering most of the anime universe today, in some areas such as Kanto or Domino where the snow is so bad that they have to close down the schools for the coming Monday. We advise that you do not plan a trip until next week, but if you must, try to book with reliable companies such as Industrial Illusions' Flight branch or with Dragonaire Services. Highs are typically around 22 - 34* in many of the areas, and snow will taper off to simple dustings of frost in the afternoon.
