Breath of Fire 2: If you thought BoF1 was good, get ready to rock! BoF2 is a godsent compared to the first game! Again, you must play as a hero named Ryu, but the game takes place 500 years after the first. This time around, you have to stop an evil force that not only destroyed your hometown, but is destroying the memories of people and killing forests. Be sure to check this game out if you liked BoF1!

Breath of Fire 1: This one is pretty good as a GBA Rpg game. You play as Ryu, and must stop the goddess, Tyr, from being awakened. You get to fight evil henchmen (what game doesn't have them?), Zog, and even your sister when she goes insane! Fun game.

Yu-Gi-Oh Eternal Duelist Soul: Man, I love this game. The graphics are great, the music is great, and the trap cards must be activated manually! However, to progress in the game, you must win a certain number of times per tier. (EXP. First tier - Second tier = ten battles must be won.) This doesn't mean you just fight one guy ten times. It means you must fight each of the five duelists on tier 1 twice! Game gets better as you must face opponents like Marik (Yay!), Kaiba, and Yami Bakura (I love fighting him!)!

YGO Eternal Dulist Walkthrough!

Yu-Gi-Oh Dark Duel Stories: I played this once, and I don't like it too much. Compared to the other YGO games, it's both anti-climactic in graphics and music. But it's good for a GameBoy color game! It's just ATK and DEF points don't seem to matter, but elemental superiority does. For instance, your opponent has a Queen of Autumn Leaves on field, but you draw the Wicked Wings of Flame, or another weak FIRE card. Attack with that fire card, and you somehow win that round. Trap cards are also auto-activated.

Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories: This is a pretty good game for being first in the YGO lineup! Most of the time you play as Prince Yami, but that's only in the past sequences. When the game shifts suddenly to present times, you can play a Yugi! As for dueling, trap cards activate automatically, and most magic cards are equipment cards. Monsters have no abilities in this one, but you don't need polymerization cards to fuse! Just choose two monsters and press A! Yay!

Final Fantasy: Ah, the original FF of the series. I still play this game! It's very good for an NES game, but you only get to choose four characters from 6 classes, so choose well as it's a one-choice-forever deal. You can't change them after that. The gameplay is the fact that four orbs have lost their shine and it's up to you to relight them. Fighting herds of enemies and the four fiends of the elements probably doesn't help, but this game provides hours of fun for all!
Rating: Overall, thanks to new technology... ** but to diehards like me *****

Final Fantasy 2: Another NES game remixed for the PS1. For an NES game, the storyline is okay, but the leveling up system is a little screwed up. But the fact that this is where Chocoboes are first introduced makes up for that! The storylines are actually a lot like FF6, having to stop an evil empire.

FF2j Weird level up guide!

Final Fantasy 3: Once again, another NES game remixed for the DS. Basically, the two games are the same, save for the differentiation of main characters, so bear with me. Basically, you are chosen by the crystals to restore the power of light, and to do so, you must travel the world, helping others and fighting fiends to do so. This is the first FF where the "job class" list is introduced. In the NES game, you could only do that through the use of "change orbs," but they took that out in the DS. A very cute game, though the leveling up can get to you easily. If you're an oldschool fanatic, I'd invest in it.

Final Fantasy 4: Or 2 here in America. Anyway, it's an awesome game where, like the original FF, you must fight the ultimate evil and his four fiend flunkies. With interesting monsters from spirits to possessed dollies, this game is a must! The only flaw is the fact that if you run from battles, you could lose 1/4 to 3/4 of your money.
Rating: ****

Final Fantasy 5: Sadly, I wish I could give a fair review for this game, but it's just not a good game compared to the other FFs. There is a good amount of swear and the class changes are confusing and mostly to a disadvantage unless you stay in the job you choose forever. And, to make matters worse, the second character is very annoying and makes most of the story revolve around her. And the music is horrible too, not to mention the save glitch, where the game becomes messed up if you save in certain spots. This may only appear in Antology, but I don't know.

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest: For being an SNES game, this is pretty decent. It's like a FF made for little kids. The text is basic, and the plot isn't too gripping. But that doesn't take away from the fun. You CAN see, and if you're lucky, avoid your enemies, and that may be a good thing. Your attacks aren't too good (always need at least 2 hits to kill your enemies) and there's not much magic either, and most enemies are strong against magic anyway. The gold count could be better, but for being an older FF game, this works. Just wish it were harder, my sis beat it in 4 hours...

Final Fantasy 6: Ah, the ultimate RPG for the SNES. This game rocks like nothing else. AND you have the FFs funniest psychos here! What more could you want? With funny one-liners ("Cool, this thing flies! Can it crash too?") and unforgettable characters (MOG!) this RPG should be on any gamers' wishlist!

FF6 character guide!

Final Fantasy 7: Personally, this is my favorite out of the FF series! You actually have a FEW groups of rivals to take down, and the new LIMIT skills are introduced. And, even cooler, you can actually change your characters' stats with the magic stones (Materia) you buy, but don't overload a character with too many of them, because each stone can reduce a characters' HP by 2 - 20%, unless you also have an HP plus, which'll counter that. About the game, at first the company Shinra is the main enemy and then after Aeris is captured, Sephiroth becomes the point of the story, along with the Meteor he summons about halfway through the game. And the summons in this game are like bliss compared to FF6 and under.

FF7 chocobo breeding guide!

Final Fantasy 8: I hate this game, and with good reasons. I don't know what Square was thinking with replacing the magic system so you need to draw your power from enemies. And the Junction system is a minus too. A lot of people forget to put battle commands into the system when they junction, so one wrong decision could mean disaster. And the fact that you need to be at CRITICAL HP to get your limit skill does it for me. And the payment system for GIL is bad too. The only good thing about this game is the GF animations.
Rating: **

Final Fantasy 9: A new revival of old and rebirth of new. This is a cute game with good music and great landscapes. And the characters fit very well, so that's a plus. I can't think of anything wrong with this game, except the Edion summon costs are a little too high, but isn't that how it should be?
Rating: *****

Final Fantasy 10: A good game compared to FF8 or even 9! As Tidus, you must help Yuna and her guardians defeat Sin and solve the mysteries of Jecht, who disappeared some time ago. The battles are turn-based, meaning you can take your time to plan your strategy. Match that with the fact that you can completely customize your characters in every way and the graphics, and this game takes the cake!
Rating: ****

Final Fantasy X-2: The first sequel to an FF game ever, and it's pretty darn good! The game uses the class change option like in FF5, and with hundreds of missions to do, you can basically play the game any way you feel. Just make sure you level up accordingly, or you'll get your butt kicked really quickly.
Rating: ****

Final Fantasy XII: Not to be confused with X2, this is actually FF 12. It's probably one of the best FF games out there, and does a much better job at remixing the old with the new. Hell, they've even put ESPERS back in, and those babies are over 10 years old! Anyway, the main gist of the game is rather interesting, as it seems to be revolving around trying to find the main character's best friend, but soon it turns out that a terrible country is abusing the power of Nethicite, and it's up to you to stop them. The plot is gripping, but the true fun lies in customizing your characters and getting the Gil to buy that $10000000 sword you've been eyeing. Definitely worth the money to play.
Rating: *****

Time Stalkers: This one is good, but a little too short. It's way too easy to beat this game only because it has only 8 dungeons, with varying monster capacities. You can catch and raise monsters, though, so that's a plus. All in all, a good RPG.
Rating: ****

Pokemon games: Not bad at all. You can raise 150 monsters in the Red, Blue and Yellow versions, 250 in the GS versions, and over 350 in the new Ruby and Saphire versions! Basically, your monsters do the fighting for you. It's a lot like FF and Pokemon the show meet.
Rating: ****

Evolution: A lot like Time Stalkers, only tons of more dungeons to explore and more monsters to defeat. Great special effects and music, but bad english grammar. But, hey, I won't hold it against the creators.
Rating: ***

Earthbound: This isn't an anime game, but I loved it so much, I'll put it up here. You play as four kids, trying to stop an evil company from awakening a greater evil, known as Gigyas. The effects aren't as good, but the music and plot are. Must try it.
Rating: *****

Megaman X6: This one is great! You play as everyone's fave Reploid, Megaman, as he tries to stop 8 nutty investigators from closing off the lands of earth, and tries to destroy Dr. Gate before he destroys the earth. Megaman must also increase his ranks in the Maverick Hunters by searching for Zero's 16 different "spirits".
Rating: ****

Xenogears: As far as graphics, this game lacks it seriously, but it has a wonderful plot. You play as Fei, a lonesome and homeless warrior with a memory problem. Together with your allies, you must stop giant, evil robots from destroying Lahan and eventually the world with black gears! So-so...
