Lebanon - The Way of Life
In Lebanon, the Lebanese value individualism, which could explain their need for creativity and inventiveness. Close family relations, loyalty and honour is important, and strive to gain respect. Men and women attend schools equally and mix freely.
Muslim women wear conservative clothing, however, men generally wear Western clothes but the older generation still wear the traditional Arab headdress called a kufiyah.
Lebanese people enjoy conversations over Turkish coffee, and participate in outdoor activities.
They also enjoy a variety of foods, from French, Arabic, Persian, Greek to hamburgers and pizza. Traditional foods include kebbe (a dish of lab and crushed wheat), and tabbouleh (a salad made of parsley, mint, tomatoes and crushed wheat).
