In the summer of 2002, a band called Remembering December was formed by three aspiring musicians, combining their love of music with their passion for sending a heartfelt message to today's youth. With its blend of catchy melodies, classical and rock piano, solid and harmonious guitar, melodic synthesizers, pure and rhythmic bass, linear drumming, and the occasional flute, Remembering December's sound is truly in a genre of its own. This band has been bringing its unique sound to venues and festivals throughout the metropolitan New Orleans area for the past three years, opening for artists such as Kelly Pease, Dismas, Covenant 7, and Seraphim. Remembering December was recently chosen to perform at Abbey Youth Festival, which attracts over 4,000 teens from seven different states.
The band's primary goal is to send a passionate message of hope and acceptance to today's youth living in a dying and broken world. This message has been expressed in the band's most recent release, Escaping Frigid Earth.
