Veliankode Panchayath Local Administration has been decided to ban Pan Masalas in the panchayath as per decision made in a meeting on 25-10-'03 IV/2 from 01-11-'03 onwards. A notice circulated in Panchayath (No. A3-1030/03) stating this ban. SSF and its state campaign against Pan Masalas was behind this decision, SSFians arranged a rally to congratulate the people and members of the Grama Panchayath in Eramangalam. New Hydrolic Bridge opened connecting Veliankode and Maranchery Panchayaths through Canoli Canal known as Changadam Road. The Changadam Service has been stopped as the bridge opened for vehicles across the canal. The road starts from National Highway (NH17) - Veliankode Angadi (Near Juma Masjid and Ummer Khadi Maqam)- to Perumpadappa-Ponnani Road (Veliankode Pazhanji). |
